Our supplier is a Federally and State-licensed manufacturer authorized by the California Department of Justice (CA-DOJ) to perform and approved modification to "Assault Weapons", making them legal for sale to civilians. They have a very large Gunsmithing and Assembly operation that specializes in the M-16, AR-15 and other Tactical weapons used by Law Enforcement.

In compliance with the current ban on California-definition "Assault Weapons", our manufacturer has received specific California DOJ approval to modify the magazine well on AR-15 Type lower receivers, to create a 10-round FIXED magazine and take them out of "Series Status". The primary modification may appear to be the same as other products, but it is definitely not.

Our rifles are uniquely Superior, with several aspects of the modifications protected by Patents Pending. Once modified in accordance with their approval, CA-DOJ does not consider this lower receiver to be a Stoner X-15 Series design.

In other words, the modified lower receiver (and subsequent RIFLE) is NOT considered to be a California-definition ASSAULT WEAPON.

While there are numerous ways to accessorize your new rifle, it is important to note that modification in any form may be a violation of California Law and requires the approval of the California Department of Justice. The APPROVED modification we make to the rifles ONLY affects the ability to insert magazines into the receiver via the magazine well, limiting the capacity to a FIXED 10-rounds. Loading is accomplished by pulling out the Take-Down pin, breaking the rifle open and loading the feeding device from above, like an internal bolt-action rifle magazine.

There are no other modifications that affect individual functions or operation of the rifles and no parts are added or removed. The rifles remain 100% ORIGINAL in all ways, except for the modification.

Finished rifles are sold by GB Sales, a California-licensed FFL Dealer. All sales include a copy of the CA-DOJ Approval Letter.
