IMPORTANT:  While precedents have been established for "Off-List" rifles, individuals should conduct thorough due diligence in making the decision to purchase any member (or close relative) of a prohibited class of firearms, whether Off-List or not.  Lack of awareness can create a myriad of legal problems for individuals who have not thoroughly researched the laws.  Our position is not to assert that this option and its proponents are wrong, but that we are merely offering a different approach.

We have observed that District Attorneys, in their respective jurisdictions, sometimes take a different view of things like the "Bullet Button" magazine retention device that doesn't discriminate between a 10-round and a 30-round magazine.  In some jurisdictions, this is virtually a non-issue.

Some DA's feel that mere possession of all the components constitutes  "Conspiracy to Manufacture" an Assault Weapon.  The point is that there is less argument on what the regulations state, than what the situational and jurisdictional variables are.

It is important to know that there is a significant difference between CALIFORNIA-LEGAL and "California Compliant".

Ours is admittedly the conservative route to enjoying these types of firearms and we are the only ones who provide our written Approval Letter from CA-DOJ.

Think about what this means to your individual situation.  It is either significant, or it is not.

As enthusiasts and Dealers in business to make a profit, we agree with Shooting Sports Enthusiasts and our fellow FFL Dealers who would love to see the Assault Weapons Ban disappear.  However, as long as the Ban exists, we have chosen to maintain a conservative approach.
